With Ibrahima Konaté set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, the Reds are reportedly targeting Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni as his potential replacement.

Recent rumors suggest that Liverpool has set its sights on Alessandro Bastoni of Inter Milan, who is under contract until 2028. Transfermarkt currently values Bastoni at at least €80 million (£70 million).

The English outlet claims the Reds are willing to go to extraordinary lengths for the defender, reportedly prepared to make a shock offer of at least €100 million (£87 million). Having spent half a billion euros in the last transfer window, Liverpool appears intent on continuing its spending spree.

Whether Inter Milan will resist such a high-profile approach remains to be seen.

Liverpool’s bold pursuit of Bastoni puts Inter Milan on alert

With the departure of Konaté imminent, Bastoni’s defensive qualities and Serie A experience make him an ideal candidate for Liverpool’s backline.

Inter Milan, however, faces the challenge of keeping one of its most valued players, with a contract running until 2028 and a rising market valuation.
