Inter Milan bounce back after the Maradona setback — Fiorentina swept aside 3–0.

A victory to banish the ghosts and respond to Napoli and Roma. Inter Milan return to winning ways after the defeat at the Maradona and, at San Siro, dismantle a stunned Fiorentina with a convincing 3–0 win.

At the height of Inter Milan’s pressure, when the match was still goalless, there should have been a clear penalty for the home side — Comotto’s hold on Esposito was obvious (and a similar episode could have been whistled earlier in the first half), yet Sozza at San Siro let it go.

When strange ghosts began to hover over the Meazza, it was Hakan Calhanoglu who solved the tactical puzzle laid out by Pioli. The second blow landed on Fiorentina’s chin just five minutes later, thanks to a stunning goal from Sucic.
