Bonny and Pio Esposito bring skill, enthusiasm, and goals to the squad this season

One of the most evident differences between last season’s Inter Milan and the current one lies in the composition of the attack.

Until a few months ago, behind mainstays Lautaro and Thuram there were two players over thirty, like Arnautovic and Taremi (plus Correa).

Today, however, two talents barely over 20 years old, Bonny and Pio Esposito, are stepping up, bringing skill, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to make their mark.

Both have already scored, showing that goals are no longer exclusive to the ThuLa duo. La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908 writes:

"Now that Marcus will have to take on the uncomfortable role of forced spectator for about a month, it will be up to Bonny to consistently prove the theorem of the new Inter Milan: goals up front are no longer exclusive to ThuLa."

A New Generation behind Inter Milan's stars

"Bonny scored at the first opportunity — in every sense, given that his goal against Torino was also his only shot this season — while before and after him Pio Esposito had reassured Chivu about the precious resources of Inter Milan’s new attack behind the main starters: a goal in his first start with the Inter Milan shirt in June against River Plate at the American World Cup, followed by his first Serie A goal last week as a substitute at Cagliari.

The rotation between these rising young players pays off, and Chivu plans to continue this path until the match against Napoli on October 25, when Thuram is expected to return."
