Inter Milan: Darmian and Calhanoglu updates before Super Cup

Inter Milan travel to Saudi Arabia with both players available, but medical staff urge patience ahead of the Italian Super Cup

After the 2-1 victory over Genoa, focus at Inter Milan has shifted to the Supercoppa Italiana, which Chivu’s team will play in Saudi Arabia. 

At Appiano Gentile, attention is firmly on the infirmary, particularly on the conditions of Matteo Darmian and, above all, Hakan Calhanoglu, who missed the away match in Genoa. 

No injuries detected, but Inter Milan choose prudence

Sky Sport via Fcinter1908 has provided the latest updates on the two Inter Milan players:

“Both Darmian and Calhanoglu will board the plane. However, there will be great caution with both of them. 

Darmian is returning after a long spell out due to a muscular issue and, as Chivu said, he is healed but not yet ready. He still needs time to regain full fitness.

As for Calhanoglu, there was some concern after he stopped during the match against Liverpool, as he came off with discomfort in his adductor. 

In reality, no problems were found and there was no injury detected. The player has not trained yet, so he will travel with the team and great caution will be applied because nobody wants to take risks. Still, the fact that he does not have an injury is already good news.”
