It’s matchday again for Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri face Hellas Verona away today at 12:30 CEST, in the penultimate Serie A fixture before the November break.
Cristian Chivu, who chose not to hold a pre-match press conference, has been reflecting on the lineup, aiming to manage his resources carefully ahead of next week’s clash with Lazio.
Some changes are expected. The main doubts start in defence, where Acerbi could return to his usual central role.

Next to him, Bastoni is likely to keep his place, while Akanji may be rested after recent starts. That would open the door for Bisseck, who could remain in the XI but shift to the right-hand side.
In midfield, Hakan Calhanoglu might be given a breather after playing the full match against Fiorentina — a game decided in part by his two goals.
Chivu knows how vital the Turkish playmaker is to his Inter Milan side, but a rest can’t be ruled out. Should he sit out, Barella would step in as the central pivot, with Zielinski and Sucic operating alongside him.
Rotation plans: Calhanoglu and Dimarco may rest
On the left flank, Carlos Augusto is expected to start in place of Dimarco, who could begin on the bench.
Up front, there’s no rest for captain Lautaro Martinez, who is once again set to start from the first minute.
The main doubt concerns his partner: Bonny currently leads the race ahead of Pio Esposito to complete the attacking duo.
