The Inter Milan duo reflect on the team’s dominant display and goals in the 4-1 victory over Cremonese

It was an incredible performance from Inter Milan, who dominated Cremonese for the full 90 minutes at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri played at an exceptionally high level, pressing relentlessly throughout the match: 27 total shots, 11 clear-cut chances created, and 3.58 expected goals. Even more impressively, only three outfield players — Carlos Augusto, Diouf, and Sucic — failed to take a shot.

Among the standout performers were Federico Dimarco and Nicolò Barella, two tireless engines of creativity and energy in Cristian Chivu’s side. Both found the net in the second half and shared their thoughts after the match.

Dimarco: “We were impressive and dominant”

“I think first and foremost, Pio and Ange are two great guys who settled in immediately, and they're also very strong players. Thuram told me at half-time that I’m the guy who provides the assists for first-time goals — as well as Esposito and Bonny, he also scored his first Inter goal from one of my assists.

We’ve been working hard from the start of the year; a team like Inter Milan couldn’t afford the setbacks we had, but today we were impressive and dominant. We created chances; it’s a shame about the goal we conceded.

In this run of matches, including against Juventus, we’ve bounced back really well. I always try to be one step ahead of my opponent; timing is everything. I focus on my positioning to set up my teammates as best I can — it’s something we do very well.”

Barella: “We found our confidence again”

“Today we definitely rediscovered some of the rhythm we had lost recently. To play matches like this, you need confidence, and we found it again. We tried to be more direct than usual, and we had fun doing it.

One of my traits has always been setting up my teammates; personal glory has never interested me. Sometimes, though, it’s better to take the shot, and I’m grateful to Ange for creating the opportunity.

I thank him because he made himself available immediately — players like him, willing to work and serve the group, were exactly what we needed tonight.”

Team chemistry and confidence fuel Inter Milan’s momentum

With leadership from Dimarco and Barella and the energy of emerging talents like Bonny and Pio Esposito, Chivu’s Inter Milan continues to grow in confidence, rhythm, and attacking fluency.

The balance between experience and youth has become a key ingredient in the team’s impressive recent run.

Bonny: “This win gives us confidence and continuity”
