With the Scudetto and Champions League in sight, Inter Milan are already planning a revamp of their forward line for next season
As Inter Milan push for the Serie A title and prepare for the Champions League final, the club’s management is already hard at work planning next season's squad—especially the forward department, which is expected to undergo significant changes.
With the expanded FIFA Club World Cup coming in June, a deeper, more dynamic frontline is essential.
Both Marko Arnautovic and Joaquín Correa are likely to leave this summer, having failed to meet expectations.
Mehdi Taremi’s future also remains uncertain after a disappointing debut season, casting doubt over whether he will remain part of the 2025 project.
Inter Milan may maintain a five-striker rotation as they did this year, but only if key departures free up roster spots—and salary space.
Bonny, Castro, and David: the names on Inter Milan's offensive radar
Recent reports have mentioned Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has struggled for consistency at Manchester United. However, sources close to the club state that Zirkzee is not currently being considered.
Instead, rising talent Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma is gaining serious attention. The French striker is admired for his physicality and style of play, which mirror those of Marcus Thuram. Bonny, just 20 years old, could provide a like-for-like alternative when Thuram needs rest, making him a highly strategic option.
Another name in the mix is Canadian striker Jonathan David. Inter Milan have been monitoring him for some time, but Napoli are currently leading the race for his signature. While Inter Milan appreciate David’s track record, they are not eager to enter a bidding war, especially given the player’s high salary demands.

Perhaps the most intriguing option is Santiago Castro of Bologna, who idolizes Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martínez.
Already valued at around €40 million (approx. £33.6 million), the Argentine striker born in 2004 is admired by Inter Milan’s ownership group Oaktree, who view him as a long-term investment. Interest from Inter Milan has been consistent since last winter, but much will depend on Bologna’s willingness to negotiate.
Ultimately, Inter Milan must also clarify Taremi’s status before finalizing any incoming moves. Will the Iranian remain, or will his departure open the door for a new addition? With the Champions League final on May 31 just around the corner, Inter Milan’s summer business will soon shift into high gear.
