Inter Milan has completed its final training session at Appiano Gentile ahead of Wednesday night’s Coppa Italia final against Lazio.
And the biggest news concerns Marcus Thuram.
According to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908, the French striker arrived at the training ground in excellent spirits, “smiling from ear to ear,” immediately giving positive signals about his condition after the injury scare of recent days.
That optimism only grew stronger once training began.
Thuram trains, Esposito managed carefully, Chivu weighs attack
Thuram trained normally with the rest of the squad and fully participated in match preparation.
Following medical consultations, the decision was made to allow him to return to group training, a clear indication that the physical issue was not considered serious.

There is now genuine hope that Thuram could even start the final from the first minute, although much will depend on how the player himself feels over the coming hours.
If he were to begin on the bench, Cristian Chivu would choose between Ange-Yoan Bonny and Pio Esposito to partner Lautaro Martinez in attack.
As for Esposito, Sky Sport reports that the young striker followed a precautionary individual program and did not train on the pitch with teammates. Nevertheless, he is considered fit and available for the match.
At the moment, Lautaro Martinez is expected to start for Inter Milan, while the second attacking spot remains open between Bonny, Thuram, and Esposito.
Lazio Situation
Lazio also received encouraging news ahead of the final.
Danilo Cataldi returned to training, though it remains unclear whether he completed the full session.
Aside from goalkeeper Provedel, Lazio should have nearly the entire squad available for what is considered the club’s most important match of the season.
Two tactical doubts remain for the Biancocelesti:
In defensive midfield, Patric and Rovella are competing for a starting role, with Rovella not yet at full sharpness
In attack, Zaccagni has fully recovered, Noslin is expected to start centrally, while Isaksen currently appears favored over Cancellieri on the right wing.
