“Certainly, many clubs were interested in Dumfries, but Inter Milan’s intention has always been clear—they want to keep him. 

Let me say, the club that pushed the hardest to sign Dumfries before the renewal was Manchester United.

Before finalizing deals for De Ligt and Mazraoui, some agents proposed a swap involving Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but this was merely a backup plan in case Dumfries didn’t renew. Inter Milan decided to take the risk—and it paid off.”
