Frattesi on the edge: Inter Milan midfielder could leave in January

Davide Frattesi struggles for form and minutes. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder could request a transfer as early as January

“Frattesi plays little and poorly: he’ll ask to leave in January,” wrote La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908. A sensational revelation that also sheds light on last summer.

The paper claims Frattesi hasn’t managed to establish himself under Simone Inzaghi and is still underperforming with Cristian Chivu on the bench. A January departure from Milan is more than a possibility.

The missed swap: Raspadori and Frattesi’s sliding doors moment

But already last summer, an exit seemed close. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed months ago that “if Simone Inzaghi had stayed at Inter Milan, one of the names under consideration was Giacomo Raspadori. 

With Inzaghi as coach, the chances of seeing him in a Nerazzurri shirt would have been high — as part of a deal involving Davide Frattesi. That swap idea had emerged with Inzaghi on the bench.”

Then Chivu took over, and Frattesi stayed. But as January approaches, a move away from Inter Milan is once again gaining traction.
