No official offers yet, but growing rumors suggest Hakan Calhanoglu could leave Inter Milan. Rovella is the top target if a replacement is needed
No official offers have arrived yet, but the rumors surrounding a potential departure of Hakan Calhanoglu from Inter Milan are becoming more persistent.
For this reason, the Nerazzurri have started exploring the transfer market to avoid being caught off guard.
As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908, the name currently topping their list is Nicolò Rovella from Lazio.
Rovella has Inter Milan roots, but Lazio refuse to sell
As the report states:
“For now, there's one name on the notebook: Nicolò Rovella of Lazio. Club president Lotito has repeatedly said that the player ‘is not for sale,’ and Sarri is a big admirer of him, planning to build the team around him.
But Inter Milan really like him. This season, he played 44 matches and stood out consistently across all competitions.”

A return to Milan would be a kind of homecoming for Rovella: he was born in Segrate, comes from an Inter Milan-supporting family, and spent several years in the Internazionale Academy.
“All my friends were there,” he once said. “I had trials with Inter Milan and Milan, but they didn’t let me go.”
Rovella made his Serie A debut with Genoa — ironically, against Inter Milan — and grew up idolizing Wesley Sneijder:
“I had his jersey. It was the first one I ever bought.”
Despite Inter Milan's interest, Lazio have made it clear: Rovella is not on the market. He signed a contract two years ago that includes a €50 million (£42.3 million) release clause, a steep price for the Nerazzurri.
For now, Calhanoglu remains Inter Milan’s regista. The seat is still taken.
