Cristian Chivu is ready to throw the Spanish goalkeeper back into the action after fielding him against Venezia.

The match against Venezia has so far remained an isolated appearance for Josep Martinez. 

At one point, the Spaniard’s outlook changed dramatically due to an off-the-pitch tragedy that disrupted what had been Chivu’s original plans for him. 

Now, however, the Inter Milan goalkeeper appears determined to put the trauma behind him and move forward.

A new opportunity could arrive very soon. According to information gathered by Fcinter1908.it, the Romanian coach is considering giving him another chance in the next scheduled fixture. 

The team will fly to Riyadh tomorrow and on Friday will face Bologna in the Supercoppa semifinal.

Sommer could be given a rest, opening the door to a valuable opportunity for the former Genoa goalkeeper, one he cannot afford to waste.
