Last summer, Atletico Madrid made an approach for Carlos Augusto, but Inter Milan’s response was firm and immediate: the player was not for sale. 

The club not only rejected the Spanish offer — they refused to even consider it, labelling the left-back as “untouchable”.

Now, after a consistent and reliable first season, the club wants to demonstrate their trust by improving his contract.
