Inter Milan celebrate a hard fought victory, but admit there is still room to grow

After the victory over Juventus, Yann Bisseck and Piotr Zielinski spoke to Sky Sport Fcinter1908, offering an honest assessment of Inter Milan’s performance.

Bisseck did not hide the difficulties of the match. “It was a tough game, but we are happy to have won,” he said. “It was not easy, but that is football. We played against a very strong opponent and they played well.”

The defender acknowledged that Inter Milan had to suffer. “Sometimes you have to suffer, and we suffered a lot. We have to do much better, but a win is a win. We made some mistakes, it is true, and we know we must improve. But we also have to talk about the quality of the opponent. They played a great match with ten men.”

Despite the victory, Bisseck admitted the team is not fully satisfied. “We are not completely happy with our performance, but the win is what counts.” He also praised Chivu’s influence: “He is doing a great job. He talks a lot about the mental side of things. Sometimes football is decided in the mind. Even after the 2-2, which hurt us a lot, we stayed in the game and won with quality. We must do better, but today we are satisfied.”

Focus, reaction and three crucial points

Piotr Zielinski shared similar thoughts, emphasizing the importance of the result. “For now, this win is very important. The whole team played and we deserved it. Let’s enjoy it, because it means a lot.”

However, he admitted Inter Milan could have managed key moments better. “We have to avoid conceding the 2-2.

After Pio’s beautiful goal, we should have controlled the game better. It was a bit of a lack of concentration, but the important thing was to win.”

On facing Juventus in a direct clash, Zielinski added: “We had to approach it like any other game. We wanted to win. Juventus are a great team. But we have always shown that we are strong. Let’s enjoy it, because we beat a great Juventus side.”

The message from both players is clear. Inter Milan value the victory highly, especially against a rival of Juventus’ stature, but they are fully aware that the performance must improve if they want to maintain their ambitions.
