From Pepin to Lautaro Martinez, the Nerazzurri’s greatest goalscorers continue to define the Club’s history

Inter Milan’s all-time top scorers ranking is a journey through decades of greatness, iconic strikers and unforgettable goals. At the summit stands an untouchable legend, while Lautaro Martinez keeps climbing, writing his own chapter in Nerazzurri history.

Giuseppe Meazza, the eternal benchmark

Giuseppe Meazza remains firmly at the top of Inter Milan’s all-time scorers list. Pepin netted an astonishing 284 goals in 408 appearances for the Nerazzurri between 1927 and 1940, before returning for one final season in 1946/47.

A three-time Serie A top scorer, Meazza’s best individual campaign saw him score 31 goals in a single season. With Inter Milan, he won three Scudetto titles and one Coppa Italia, while internationally he lifted two World Cups with Italy (1934 and 1938). His name is carved into both Inter Milan and Italian football history.

Altobelli, the complete striker

Just behind Meazza is Alessandro “Spillo” Altobelli, one of the most prolific and elegant forwards to ever wear the Inter Milan shirt.

Over 11 seasons, Altobelli scored 209 goals in 466 matches, leaving his mark in Serie A, European competitions and domestic cups.

His trophy haul includes a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia titles, and the 1982 World Cup with Italy, confirming his status as a complete and decisive striker.

Boninsegna’s ruthless efficiency

Third place belongs to Roberto Boninsegna, better known as “Bonimba”. During his seven seasons at Inter Milan, Boninsegna produced a remarkable 171 goals in just 281 competitive matches, boasting one of the best goals-per-game ratios in club history.

He won the Scudetto and finished as Serie A’s top scorer twice, becoming a nightmare for defenders throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Lautaro Martinez, history in progress

From Pepin to Lautaro Martinez, the Nerazzurri’s greatest goalscorers continue to define the Club’s history.

Lautaro Martinez continues his steady climb up Inter Milan’s scoring charts. After surpassing Nyers, Benito Lorenzi and Luigi Cevenini III, the Argentine striker has now overtaken Sandro Mazzola to become Inter Milan’s fourth-highest scorer of all time.

Mazzola had scored 161 goals for the Nerazzurri between 1960 and 1977. Lautaro has now moved beyond that mark, further cementing his legacy.

Already Inter Milan’s all-time top foreign scorer and the Club’s leading scorer in the Champions League, Lautaro has also reached 128 Serie A goals, equalling Altobelli in fourth place among Inter Milan’s top scorers in the league.

At 26, his story is far from finished.
