Inter Milan and Davide Frattesi set for summer separation

After months of speculation, Inter Milan and Davide Frattesi are now expected to part ways at the end of the season

The journey of Davide Frattesi at Inter Milan appears to be approaching its final chapter.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder is expected to leave Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, with both sides now aligned on the idea of a separation.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed the latest developments surrounding the former Sassuolo player’s future.

“Yesterday we told you that Inter Milan expects Pavard to leave and that there are still questions surrounding Mkhitaryan’s future, whether retirement or one more year in Nerazzurro colors,” Romano explained.

“Today I can confirm what we’ve been reporting for months: Inter Milan and Davide Frattesi are destined to separate this summer.”

From near Premier League move to inevitable farewell

Romano also revealed that Frattesi had already been close to leaving in January.

“The deal with Nottingham Forest was very close to being completed, but it collapsed because Curtis Jones was not released by Liverpool.”

Despite remaining in Milan for the second half of the season, the situation never truly changed.

“Frattesi remains on his way out of Inter Milan. It’s a feeling shared by both parties now. The relationship experienced highs and lows, moments of excitement and moments of difficulty.”

According to Romano, this season ultimately convinced everyone involved that a split would be the best solution.

“It became clear that the best possible outcome for both sides was to separate at the end of the season.”

Inter Milan will now evaluate offers from both Italy and abroad.

“I believe Italian clubs will move for Frattesi, but there are also opportunities internationally. The key will be understanding the costs and the structure of potential deals.”

One thing, however, already seems certain:
Davide Frattesi is expected to be among the major departures from Inter Milan this summer.
