ESPN Brazil reports that Inter Milan have opened talks for Verona striker Giovane, valued between €20–30m (£17m–£25.5m)
According to ESPN Brazil via Fcinter1908, Inter Milan have initiated first contacts regarding Verona’s forward Giovane.
His price is expected to fall between €20 and €30 million (£17m–£25.5m).
Inter Milan have approached the entourage of striker Giovane, formerly of Corinthians and now at Verona, to try to sign him in the next transfer window, starting in January 2026.
The deal is expected to cost between €20 and €30 million (£17m–£25.5m), according to ESPN. The broadcaster also reports that initial talks began about a week ago.
Who is Giovane?

Giovane Élber Rocha Silva, known simply as Giovane, is a Brazilian forward born in 2003 who rose through the ranks of Corinthians before moving to Verona on a free transfer in July 2024.
He is known for his pace, dribbling and ability to play both as a central striker and as a wide forward. At Verona, he quickly became one of the most promising young attackers in Serie A, drawing attention for his direct style and strong finishing.
The Brazilian is a specific request from coach Cristian Chivu, who has been closely monitoring Giovane’s performances and was impressed by his showing against Inter Milan, a match in which he scored Verona’s only goal in the 2–1 defeat earlier this month.
The Nerazzurri club plan to speed up negotiations, also because AC Milan and Napoli – direct Serie A rivals – have shown interest in the player.
Villarreal in Spain are also monitoring the situation, though they do not appear to have the financial strength to compete with the other clubs involved.
A couple of weeks ago, ESPN revealed that Giovane had already been attracting attention from several clubs.
The Brazilian is under contract with the Veneto side until the end of the 2028/29 season and arrived on a free transfer last July, after the expiry of his deal with Corinthians.
