The Nigerian winger has a full agreement with Inter Milan, but Atalanta are not backing down

Ademola Lookman and Inter Milan have clearly chosen each other. The connection between the Nigerian forward and the Nerazzurri club feels like a mutual promise. However, there's still a major obstacle to overcome: Atalanta refuse to lower their demands, holding firm at a valuation of €50 million (£42.5m).

According to Piero Ausilio, Inter Milan don’t intend to let negotiations drag on for too long. Yet, Atalanta president Antonio Percassi is not backing down.

If Lookman leaves for less than €50 million (£42.5m), it will only be because no better offers were received.

Napoli renew their interest, but Inter Milan still lead the race for Lookman

Napoli have also reignited their interest, offering a higher salary to both the club and the player.

That said, Inter Milan remain Lookman’s preferred destination, with a five-year agreement already in place. The Nerazzurri’s current offer stands at €40 million (£34m), but Atalanta consider that too low.

While Napoli hesitate, Inter Milan must decide whether to increase their bid or risk losing out — a scenario reminiscent of the Bremer situation in the past.

Inter Milan’s new ownership group, Oaktree, prefers a cautious approach, but the gap in valuation is now relatively small.

Meanwhile, the media spotlight suggests Inter Milan are working behind the scenes to gradually reach Atalanta’s terms.

Lookman is seen as the key signing to energize the fanbase and give Cristian Chivu a powerful new attacking option. The coming days may be decisive.
