Despite no official bids, Barcelona continue to monitor Denzel Dumfries, who has a £21 million release clause valid until the end of July

There are still no official offers on the table for Denzel Dumfries, as confirmed recently by Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio:

"No, there has never been anything – no calls, no interest. I can confirm there’s a special clause, agreed during a complicated renewal when he was close to leaving on a free."

Despite this, Dumfries continues to be linked with Barcelona in the Spanish press. According to El Nacional via Fcinter1908, Joan Laporta is working to strengthen the squad and is especially focused on full-back positions.

Despite no official bids, Barcelona continue to monitor Denzel Dumfries, who has a £21 million release clause valid until the end of July.

“The main target is the right-back role, currently covered by Koundé out of necessity. Dumfries is the most talked-about name. He could leave Inter Milan for €25 million (£21 million), to be paid in a single instalment by July 31.”

The Dutch international would bring physical strength, depth, and experience in top competitions — qualities that Barcelona are actively seeking.

His arrival could allow Eric Garcia to shift permanently to centre-back, increasing competition in defence alongside Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez, and Ronald Araújo.

The report adds that Rashford is close to arriving from Manchester United on loan, but Barcelona are still open to more moves depending on financial conditions.

For now, Dumfries seems the most viable option — though a surprise signing is not ruled out.

A final decision is expected soon.
