Inter Milan has won the tenth Coppa Italia in club history, adding a second major trophy to a season that had already delivered the 21st Serie A title.

After the final against Lazio, Cristian Chivu shared his emotions in the post-match interviews, reflecting on a campaign that now stands among the most memorable in recent Inter Milan history.

Chivu praises team spirit after Serie A and Coppa Italia success

“Inter Milan won two trophies this year,” Chivu said. “We deserved them because we had a very good season.”

The Nerazzurri coach highlighted not only the victories themselves, but also the challenges the club overcame throughout the journey.

“We are happy for ourselves, for what we achieved, and for everything we overcame during these years. 

We are also happy for these incredible supporters and for the club, which always supported us.”

Chivu also underlined how difficult it is to achieve consistency at the highest level across an entire season.

“We want to enjoy everything positive we accomplished this year. Winning the league and the Coppa Italia is never something guaranteed. Winning two trophies is never easy.”
