Ange-Yoan Bonny

The Nerazzurri aim to exploit financial flexibility before June 30 to bring in Parma striker Bonny and support new coach Cristian Chivu

Inter Milan are looking to take advantage of the financial freedom granted by a budget that will close in profit, thanks to major earnings from the last Champions League campaign.

After officially signing Sucic and Luis Henrique, Inter Milan appear to have chosen their third acquisition to finalize in the coming days: Ange-Yoan Bonny, a 2003-born striker from Parma. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908.it, the Nerazzurri are moving quickly:

"Bonny next: Inter Milan make their move. There's time until Tuesday—48 hours from now. The attempt is underway: the idea is to give Cristian Chivu a new striker already for the World Cup in the United States. If no deal is reached by then, negotiations will continue at a slower pace.

The Nerazzurri aim to exploit financial flexibility before June 30 to bring in Parma striker Bonny and support new coach Cristian Chivu.

Certainly, the club wants to make the most of the flexibility afforded by a positive balance sheet, which will close on June 30 after the Champions League windfall. There's room, therefore, to include another signing in the current fiscal year after spending €37 million (£31.1 million) on Sucic and Luis Henrique. The deal won't be easy, but Inter Milan are pushing hard.

Inter Milan lead the race for Bonny thanks to Parma relationship and Chivu link

Parma values Bonny at €25 million (£21 million), and an agreement on the deal structure is still needed. Inter Milan, however, are leading the race ahead of Juventus and Napoli.

The path toward signing the French striker born in 2003 seems set.

Good relations between Parma and Inter Milan—also solidified through the Chivu situation—support this progress.

Despite Parma negotiating a renewal with Chivu, no conflict arose when Inter Milan made their move for the coach.

Chivu would obviously be happy to reunite with a former player, whom Inter Milan had already been scouting for some time.

Tomorrow will see Chivu's official contract termination with Parma—a necessary step to allow him to start coaching Inter Milan before June 30.

But tomorrow might also be the day of the first formal contact between the clubs over Bonny.

Inter Milan want to add strength to their attacking lineup. Although there's no immediate need—Chivu will take Lautaro, Thuram, Taremi, the Esposito brothers, and Valentin Carboni to the U.S.—Bonny would be a tactical asset.

He fits perfectly with the club’s new project, where youth is key to investment strategies.

For that reason, Inter Milan's interest in Bonny won't expire after Tuesday. Even if the World Cup deadline passes, the Parma forward will remain a top target."
