While Inter Milan continues to strengthen its squad, the club faces significant obstacles when it comes to outgoing transfers
While Inter Milan continues to act decisively in the incoming transfer market, things are still — or nearly so — on the exit front.
Outgoing operations are encountering obstacles of various kinds: high valuations, players’ will, and a lack of concrete offers. Here's the latest update from La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908.
Tough negotiations and unwanted destinations stall exits
First and foremost, the case of Asllani: Inter Milan wants to earn a fee between €18–20 million (£15.1–16.8 million). A high valuation, which has scared off Fiorentina — a club that had shown some interest in the Albanian midfielder.
A real tug-of-war is underway between Inter Milan and the player, who only accepts Italian destinations. But that complicates the club’s plans, which are aimed at a permanent sale. Not many Serie A clubs can realistically reach the €18–20 million (£15.1–16.8 million) asking price.
Everything is also at a standstill regarding Taremi. His agent, Federico Pastorello, is working on the situation: a return to Porto seems unlikely, and his net salary of €3 million (£2.52 million) is not a minor obstacle.

For this reason, options are being explored in England (Fulham and West Ham) and in Turkey (Besiktas).
Closing with Sebastiano Esposito: the forward knows he has to leave. So far, he has attracted interest from half of Serie A, but no club has yet come forward with an offer that meets Inter Milan’s €7 million (£5.88 million) valuation.
With his contract expiring in 12 months, a sale is essentially necessary. Updates are expected in the coming days.
