The latest updates on the Polish midfielder’s condition, as he targets a league match for his return to action.
Piotr Zielinski continues working to recover from the injury he sustained during the match against Monza.
The Polish midfielder is still sidelined after being forced off just minutes after coming on against the Brianza side.
Medical tests revealed a strain of the medial gastrocnemius muscle in his right leg, which has ruled him out of Inter Milan’s recent matches in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League.

His recovery is progressing well, and Inter Milan’s medical staff, together with the player, have set a clear target for his return.
According to Fcinter1908.it, Piotr Zielinski could be available for Simone Inzaghi for the match against Zanetti’s Verona, scheduled at San Siro on the weekend of May 4th (exact date and time yet to be confirmed).
The Polish is expected to rejoin the squad for that match, although the medical and coaching staff are hopeful to have him back in training even earlier.
Having been injured on March 8th, Zielinski has, so far, missed Serie A matches against Atalanta, Udinese, and Parma, as well as two Champions League games—the second leg against Feyenoord and the first leg against Bayern Munich—along with the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal against AC Milan.
