If Bastoni were to leave, the club would likely need to reinforce the backline with not one, but two new centre-backs.

Interest from FC Barcelona is described as real, though still floating in the realm of admiration rather than concrete negotiation.

Meanwhile, Nico Paz continues to attract attention from Inter Milan, although Real Madrid are expected to activate a buy-back clause to bring him back to Spain.

For now, Bastoni stands at the heart of Inter Milan’s plans, like a keystone in a shifting arch. Remove him, and the entire defensive structure must be rebuilt.
