Champions League 2025/26: Inter Milan discover their league phase opponents

Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Slavia Prague, Ajax, Kairat Almaty and Union SG await Inter Milan in the new UCL format

The eight teams that Inter Milan will face are: Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Slavia Prague, Ajax, Kairat Almaty and Union SG. 

At the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo, Inter Milan discovered their path in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26. 

The league phase draw defined the Nerazzurri’s journey: Inter Milan are in Pot 1 and will play 8 matches, 4 at San Siro and 4 away.

The fixtures for Inter Milan are as follows:

Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan vs Arsenal

Atletico Madrid vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan vs Slavia Prague

Ajax vs Inter Milan

Union SG vs Inter Milan

At home, Inter Milan will face the English champions Liverpool, Arsenal (in a repeat of last season’s clash), Slavia Prague (as in 2019) and Kairat Almaty, a Kazakh side making their debut in the Champions League.

Away, the Nerazzurri will challenge Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid (met in the Round of 16 in 2024), Ajax and Belgium’s Union SG, the reigning national champions from Brussels.

Champions League 2025/26 full schedule and knockout rounds

The full UEFA Champions League calendar will be announced on Saturday, August 30.

The first matchday of the single-league phase will begin on September 16, while the eighth and final matchday will take place on January 28, 2026.

Matchday 1: September 16–17–18, 2025

Matchday 2: September 30 – October 1, 2025

Matchday 3: October 21–22, 2025

Matchday 4: November 4–5, 2025

Matchday 5: November 25–26, 2025

After the play-offs, which will be drawn on January 30, 2026, and played on February 17–18 (first leg) and February 24–25 (second leg), the final draw will take place on February 27, 2026, defining the Round of 16 pairings and the rest of the bracket.

Round of 16: March 10–11 (first leg) and March 17–18 (second leg)

Quarter-finals: April 7–8 (first leg) and April 14–15 (second leg)

Semi-finals: April 28–29 (first leg) and May 5–6 (second leg)

Final: Saturday, May 30 at 18:00

The UEFA Champions League 2025/26 final will be played on Saturday, May 30 at 18:00 at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.
