From control to collapse, now all eyes on Inter Milan vs Parma

Inter Milan had the Scudetto champagne on ice… then someone nudged the table.

After racing into a 2–0 lead against Torino FC, the Nerazzurri were pegged back to 2–2, delaying what seemed like an imminent title celebration.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908 notes, this time the script flipped. Usually, it’s Inter Milan who absorb the punches and then storm back, just ask Cesc Fàbregas.

Instead, under Cristian Chivu, they sprinted ahead and then eased off, allowing Torino back into the fight. A lapse less tactical than human: the subtle temptation to relax when the finish line comes into view.

History echoes and a familiar final step awaits

Strangely, this déjà-vu has precedent. Two seasons ago, just one week before sealing the title, Inter Milan drew 2–2 at home against Cagliari Calcio, then led by Claudio Ranieri.

That stumble set the stage for the iconic derby triumph that delivered the title in unforgettable fashion.

This latest draw may serve a similar narrative twist. Rather than clinching the title passively, Inter Milan now have the chance to win it properly on the pitch, in front of their fans.

The equation is simple: defeat Parma Calcio 1913 next Sunday, and the 21st Scudetto is theirs.

Beyond tactics and numbers, there’s also a quiet determination within the squad to focus only on football.

Chivu has carefully steered clear of any mention of the ongoing investigation in Milan, keeping the locker room tuned to a single frequency: win, and everything else fades into background noise.

The crown still hovers within reach, waiting for one final grasp.
