Midfield doubts remain as Inter Milan prepare for Saturday’s showdown with Juventus at San Siro
The countdown to Inter Milan vs Juventus is almost over. Saturday night at 20:45 CET brings one of the most anticipated fixtures of the season, and Cristian Chivu still has a few key decisions to make.
According to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908, most of the uncertainty surrounds the midfield. In defense, the trio of Bisseck, Akanji and Bastoni is expected to start.
On the flanks, Luis Henrique and the in-form Federico Dimarco should get the nod. Dumfries has partially returned to group training, but it is still too early to see him back in the starting lineup.
Barella and Calhanoglu back in training, but only one may start

In midfield, Zielinski is considered the only certainty. Currently Inter Milan’s most consistent performer in that area, his place in the XI looks secure.
The remaining spots depend on Barella and Calhanoglu. Both have returned to full training, but the Italian appears more likely to start. The Turkish midfielder’s chances will become clearer after the final training sessions.
If Calhanoglu does not start, Mkhitaryan is slightly ahead of Sucic to complete the midfield trio.
Up front, there are far fewer doubts. Lautaro Martinez is guaranteed to lead the line, and Sky Sport reports that Thuram is set to partner him.
The French striker returned to the starting lineup against Sassuolo alongside Lautaro and is expected to keep his place. That would leave Pio Esposito and Bonny on the bench.
Inter Milan approach the clash in strong form, but against Juventus, details decide everything. Saturday night will reveal Chivu’s final answers.
