Dutch wing-back resumes partial team training after three months out, boosting Inter Milan ahead of a crucial stretch

Inter Milan continue their preparations for Saturday night’s showdown against Juventus with encouraging news filtering out of Appiano Gentile.

After welcoming back Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolò Barella to full training earlier this week, Cristian Chivu has now received another positive update: Denzel Dumfries is back on the grass with the group.

According to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908, the Dutch wing-back completed part of the session with his teammates, three months after his injury setback. It is not a full return just yet, but the horizon is finally visible.

Dumfries' return timeline set for late February boost

Dumfries is expected to be fully available during the final week of February, between the Champions League playoff second leg and the Serie A clash with Genoa.

A timeline that feels less like a countdown and more like a slow drumroll before re-entry.

For Chivu, this means options. Real, tangible options. With Calhanoglu and Barella also back in contention, the Inter Milan engine room and flanks begin to look whole again at precisely the right moment of the season.
