Luis Henrique

Inter Milan has secured the signing of Marseille winger Luis Henrique. The Brazilian will be official after the Champions League final and join the squad for the Club World Cup

Inter Milan has finalized the signing of Marseille’s Brazilian winger Luis Henrique, with the deal set to be made official following the Champions League final.

The player will be available to Simone Inzaghi for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

After wrapping up a deal for Luka Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Milan continues its aggressive early transfer activity.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908.it, some insiders suggest this spring push on the market is also meant to reassure head coach Simone Inzaghi — who is reportedly seeking strong investment from the club before agreeing to extend his contract.

The deal with Marseille is effectively completed: the French club will receive €23 million (£19.3 million) plus €2 million (£1.6 million) in performance-related bonuses.

Luis Henrique, formerly of Botafogo and recently developed under Roberto De Zerbi, is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri.

Henrique to compete with Dumfries and replace Darmian

In Inzaghi’s tactical setup, Henrique is likely to take the place of Matteo Darmian — who is now 35 and under contract until 2026.

The Brazilian will alternate with Denzel Dumfries on the right flank, offering Inter Milan added depth and dynamism in wide areas.

There are even suggestions that Henrique could be in attendance at the Champions League final in Munich, possibly already observing his future teammates from the stands.

Whether or not he appears at the match, one thing is clear: Inter Milan is already shaping its squad for the next cycle — including the demanding schedule of the Club World Cup.

However, while Henrique’s arrival is a positive signal, it may not be enough to convince Inzaghi to turn down major offers from abroad.

Reports suggest Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia is ready to make a lucrative bid for the coach. Inter Milan’s ability to continue attracting high-level talent will likely play a key role in keeping Inzaghi on the bench.

One signing is just the beginning. To keep their project competitive — and keep their manager — Inter Milan may need several more strategic reinforcements in the coming weeks.
