“The only thing he lacked was experience, and we supported him in that. He has everything else. He can and must stay at Inter Milan for many years.”

During tougher moments in the season, Marotta never considered changing course.

“I’ve never sacked a coach mid-season in Serie A. The coach is fundamental, but he must be supported. The team was united, and Chivu was their leader.”

“We speak constantly about the market. Now is not the time to go into detail, but we have clear ideas.”
