Hakan Calhanoglu remains focused on Inter Milan as his agent shuts down transfer rumours

The spotlight has once again turned to the future of Hakan Calhanoglu, following recent statements from his agent Gordon Stipic.

Speculation linking the midfielder to Galatasaray has resurfaced, but the message from his camp is firm and unequivocal.

Calhanoglu, under contract with Inter Milan until 2027, is fully settled in Italy and has no ongoing negotiations with the Turkish club.

According to his agent, there have been no talks, no approaches, and no concrete interest in recent transfer windows.

Focus on Inter Milan and the world stage

The midfielder’s focus remains entirely on Inter Milan and their title ambitions. Week after week, Calhanoglu continues to underline his importance through performances, leadership, and consistency.

At the same time, he is already looking ahead to the next FIFA World Cup, where he will captain Turkey national team, a role he considers a great honour.

No renewal, no immediate exit

Behind the public statements, however, a more nuanced scenario is emerging.

According to FcInter1908, the most likely outcome is neither a contract renewal nor an immediate departure.

Calhanoglu currently earns €6.5 million net per season (£5.6 million), and the club’s ownership is not inclined to extend contracts at that level.

Recent discussions between the player’s agent and Inter Milan executives have led to a potential compromise.

The club has asked ownership to keep Calhanoglu until the end of his contract, and the player himself is open to staying until 2027 before leaving on a free transfer.

It’s a rare alignment of interests.

Calhanoglu stays, Inter Milan keep a key figure, and both sides delay the big decision.

Unless a major offer arrives from abroad, this quiet agreement could define the midfielder’s future.
