Fabrizio Romano outlines possible departures and reassures fans over Alessandro Bastoni’s future at Inter Milan
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has provided updates on the futures of Denzel Dumfries, Stefan De Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano also addressed the situation of Stefan De Vrij:
“I reiterate that Dumfries leaving Inter Milan in the summer is a more than serious and more than concrete possibility, but he might not be the only Dutch player to leave Inter Milan.
I can confirm the rumors that have circulated in recent days: there is a possibility, not a certainty, of a separation between Inter Milan and De Vrij as early as January.
“De Vrij is playing very little, Bisseck has also been used as a central defender, and the Dutchman has found limited space. There is also a World Cup to be played.

De Vrij wants to go to the World Cup and arrive in the best possible condition. Several calls have already come in, more from foreign clubs than Italian ones as far as I know.
There has been no outright refusal from the player, but as of today it is not certain that De Vrij will leave Inter Milan in January because there is also the club’s perspective.
Inter Milan consider De Vrij still an important player. Chivu believes that the experience of the Dutch defender, especially in the second part of the season when matches carry more weight, could remain decisive. But De Vrij wants to play more. This is a situation to keep a close eye on.”
Bastoni reassures Inter Milan fans
Romano then concluded with comments on Alessandro Bastoni:
“Bastoni has reassured Inter Milan fans after reports from Spain about Barcelona’s interest in him.
The defender has confirmed his intention to stay at Inter Milan, he is totally focused on the Inter Milan world. There are no talks with other clubs, it is not something to think about today, and Bastoni himself has denied everything.”
