Chivu: “Important to react and keep momentum in Serie A”

Nerazzurri coach reflects on win against Genoa

Speaking to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908 after Inter Milan’s victory over Genoa, Cristian Chivu shared his thoughts on the match and the team’s ongoing campaign.

“It was important to react. We knew the importance of this game. I take these three points. It wasn’t simple, because we faced a healthy team that knows how to play and cause problems. It was important to give continuity to what we are doing,” he said.

Chivu: “We give our best against every opponent, always”

On individual players, Chivu commented: “Ange-Yoan Bonny? I don’t know his condition. Federico Dimarco? He’s doing his best, important for continuing our ambitions, just like the rest of the squad. Do we always beat smaller teams? We always give our best, treating every opponent the same mentally and physically.”

Chivu also highlighted the team’s mentality: “We know matches can be won or lost, but the important thing is to give maximum effort. 

The Scudetto is not yet won; 11 games remain, and there’s still work to do. We must keep marching and maintain continuity. 

Everyone is in good shape, everyone trains well, nobody sulks, and they accept reality. We move forward with this squad, with ambition and the desire to be competitive. Marcus Thuram is fit, and all my forwards have important numbers.”
