The Nerazzurri striker reflects on the comeback win over Pisa and the title race
It wasn’t only Cristian Chivu who spoke after the final whistle at San Siro. From the Inter Milan camp, Bonny also shared his thoughts following the hard-fought victory against Pisa, a match that allowed the Nerazzurri to extend their lead—at least temporarily—over AC Milan and Napoli in the Serie A title race.

“We struggled a bit at the beginning,” Bonny admitted in his press conference. “But we reacted in the right way. We are a strong team and we’re happy with how the game turned out.”
When asked about the dramatic turnaround, the striker was clear:
“Yes, we turned it around in just eight minutes. That shows who we are. Inter Milan have character, mentality, and quality.”
Bonny: “No obsession, just responsibility to fight for the Scudetto”
Bonny was also questioned about the pressure of competing for the Scudetto in such a demanding environment.
“For me it’s my first year here,” he explained. “In this dressing room I see champions every day. They want to win everything and always give their maximum. It’s not an obsession, but it is our duty to try.”
A win that means more than three points
The opportunity was too important to miss, and Inter Milan seized it. With Napoli facing Juventus and AC Milan away in Rome, the Nerazzurri capitalized at the Meazza, overtaking Pisa and putting extra pressure on their title rivals.
Speaking to InterTV via Fcinter1908, Bonny added:
“Winning like this feels even better. We reacted well in the first half and then everything worked in the second. My goal? I’m happy, of course, but the most important thing is the three points.”
Looking ahead, the focus is already shifting to the next challenge:
“Now we need to rest well because a big match is coming. We have to be fresh and ready.”
Inter Milan move forward with confidence, awareness, and belief—qualities that could make the difference in a title race that is shaping up to be as intense as ever.
