Ahead of the Champions League final, Simone Inzaghi reaffirms his commitment to Inter Milan, shutting down market rumors and focusing on European glory

The coach, at the center of speculation and transfer rumors, wanted to send a clear message on the eve of the Champions League final:

"At Inter Milan, I have everything I need to do well and achieve great satisfaction."

These are the words of Simone Inzaghi, spoken ahead of what is arguably the most important match in Inter Milan’s recent history.

The coach, under the spotlight due to market interest, wanted to be unequivocal—his future is still with Inter Milan.

“Win and (not) say goodbye.”

The feeling is that behind closed doors during the week, the reassurances Inzaghi had requested were indeed provided by the President—more reserved than usual, yet generous with handshakes and back pats.

In the scheduled meeting at the start of the week—between Monday and Tuesday—all parties involved are expected not only to discuss “what’s best for Inter Milan,” but also to align on a shared future with the club.

After all, Al Hilal is certainly not the Real Madrid of Florentino Perez, where José Mourinho landed after his historic Treble.

A defining night: Inter Milan faces PSG for the first time in history

This night is set to be a pivotal moment—not only because it marks Inter Milan’s seventh European Cup/Champions League final, but also due to the uniqueness of facing an opponent they’ve never met in an official match: Paris Saint-Germain.

With Pavard back in the squad, Inzaghi will field his strongest lineup—the one he’s only used twice this season: in the derby and the away match against Napoli (with a less than stellar record: one 1-2 loss and a 1-1 draw).
