Qualification and first goal in Nerazzurri, Pavard: "A Wonderful Emotion"

A special night for Benjamin Pavard, who scored his first goal for Inter Milan and helped the team reach the Champions League semifinals. 

There are nights that are hard to forget, evenings filled with special emotions. 

The one at San Siro against Bayern Munich will surely remain etched in Benjamin Pavard’s memory: the match that secured Inzaghi’s side a spot in the Champions League semifinals also brought the French defender the joy of his first goal in an Inter Milan shirt. 

A goal he had chased and come close to several times, finally arriving against his former team, in front of more than 75,000 Nerazzurri fans who erupted with joy in the 61st minute for Benji the Interista, tonight, more than ever.

Here are the French defender’s words after Inter Milan vs Bayern:

“I’m really happy about this goal — I’ve been waiting for it for a long time. Honestly, I’m almost more happy for the team than for myself, even though it was a great feeling to score my first goal here. But we had to stay focused.
It wasn’t an easy match, and now we have to recover ahead of the league game.
We’re not setting any limits — we have a great team and a staff that works really well. 

We always want to win, and we want to keep pushing forward.
The league is very tight, and the match against Bologna will be tough.”
