Inter Milan back in the Scudetto hunt after 2-0 win over Torino

A rain-soaked San Siro sees Inzaghi's side dominate with goals from Zalewski and Asllani, reigniting their Serie A title dreams

Inter Milan beat Torino 2-0 and reignite their hopes of winning the Scudetto, helped by Napoli’s draw against Genoa.

The match, played under a heavy thunderstorm that forced a long suspension and halftime, was dominated by Inzaghi’s men. 

They scored in each half: Zalewski opened with a stunning goal, and Asllani sealed it with a penalty.

“The other Inter Milan” refuses to give up and restores not only mathematical but emotional hope for the title.

Zalewski shines in the rain: Skill, Versatility, and a wonder goal

Zalewski’s opener was a gem: a backheel control, a burst past Gineitis, and a powerful right-foot strike from distance into the far corner. 

But the ex-Roma man offered much more. His elusive positioning — part left midfielder, part wide man — constantly puzzled Torino’s midfielders. Alternating with Augusto (and later Dimarco), it’s a classic Inzaghi tactic.

His energy and movement will be vital as Inter Milan prepare for Monaco, where they'll need to manage their resources against PSG. 

Zalewski played an hour, as did Zielinski, who operated in central midfield. Barella and Calhanoglu came on in their place, underlining that rest alone doesn’t prepare a team for Paris.
