On May 31 at the Allianz Arena, Inter Milan chase their fourth Champions League title—and a direct route to the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup
On May 31, at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Inter Milan will play the seventh Champions League final in their history, chasing their fourth title.
Facing them is the Qatari-backed PSG, coached by Luis Enrique. At stake is the prestigious "big-eared trophy"—but that’s not all.
According to Calcio e Finanza via Fcinter1908.it, the two teams are also competing for qualification to the second edition of the revamped FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled for 2029.

Winning UCL would secure Inter Milan a spot in the 2029 Club World Cup
In fact, winning the trophy would automatically qualify Inter Milan for the 2029 Club World Cup as the first European team to secure a place.
The 2024/25 season marks the beginning of the qualification cycle for that edition of the tournament. Inter Milan could clinch their ticket early, following Al-Ahli, who was the first team overall to qualify.
UEFA's qualification rules allow four spots for Champions League winners across the years leading up to the tournament, in addition to eight other clubs selected based on a performance ranking in Europe’s top club competition.
Should Inter Milan win, they would also deny a spot to another Italian team via the ranking system.
FIFA has set a limit of two clubs per national federation for the Club World Cup—unless qualification comes by winning the Champions League.
