Summer goalkeeper market heats up: Inter Milan and Juventus target Vicario and Alisson

This summer promises to be intense in the goalkeeper market, with several clubs seeking new goalkeepers. Among them are Inter Milan and Juventus, who may end up competing for the same targets, according to Tuttosport.

Guglielmo Vicario: The main target

At the center of discussions is Guglielmo Vicario, expected to leave Tottenham and return to Italy. 

The Spurs are struggling near the relegation zone and have planned several sales to ease their finances, starting with Vicario.

The transfer fee requested by Tottenham is around €20 million (£17.5 million / $22 million) a price within Juventus’ budget. 

The Italian club is hoping to raise funds from the sales of Perin and Di Gregorio. Vicario’s wages are also not an obstacle, as he currently earns €2.6 million net per year (£2.3 million / $2.9 million).

However, competition for Vicario is fierce. Besides Juventus, Inter Milan, under Cristian Chivu, has shown interest in the goalkeeper to succeed Sommer. AS Roma could also make a move if an irresistible offer arrives in the summer.

Alisson: a possible surprise option

In the background is Alisson Becker, also monitored by Inter Milan. The Brazilian is set to make way next season for Mamadarshvili at Liverpool. His contract runs until 2027, and the club wants to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Although the transfer fee is unclear, the main concern is Alisson’s wages: €5 million net per year (£4.4 million / $5.5 million). 

If Liverpool does not sell, he might spend one more season as a backup, leaving for free in 2027 at age 35 while securing a significantly higher salary elsewhere.

The Summer showdown

Both Inter Milan and Juventus are preparing for a summer showdown to secure their next first-choice goalkeeper. 

Vicario seems the most accessible option, while Alisson remains a high-profile alternative if conditions align. This could turn into one of the hottest transfer battles of the offseason.
