Nicola Zalewski is on the verge of becoming a full-time Inter Milan player, with the club ready to finalize the deal with Roma this summer

This summer, Nicola Zalewski is expected to become a permanent Inter Milan player. According to journalist Matteo Moretto via Fcinter1908.it, the Nerazzurri are ready to activate the buyout clause for the Italy-born Polish international, who scored a stunning goal in the recent win over Torino.

Matteo Moretto writes: “Inter Milan are ready to buy Nicola Zalewski from Roma. The decision has been made, pending the completion of all formal steps.

The Polish wing-back will earn just under €2 million (approx. £1.71) million net per season.”

Zalewski's rise: from Roma academy to Inter Milan's future star

Zalewski, born in 2002, is a versatile and technically gifted player capable of playing both as a left wing-back and attacking midfielder.

A product of Roma’s academy, he made his debut under José Mourinho and quickly gained attention for his agility, dribbling, and tactical intelligence.

Despite a quieter spell at Roma recently, his performances at Inter Milan — especially his goal against Torino — have reignited his momentum.

Inter Milan’s decision to sign Nicola Zalewski is rooted in both tactical and strategic reasoning.

According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the Nerazzurri are ready to activate the buyout clause for the Italy-born Polish international, who scored a stunning goal in the recent win over Torino.

First, Nicola Zalewski fits perfectly into Simone Inzaghi’s system, which relies heavily on wing-backs who can provide width, creativity, and defensive balance.

His ability to play both as a left wing-back and as an advanced midfielder offers valuable flexibility — a key trait for Inter Milan’s dynamic 3-5-2 formation.

Second, Nicola Zalewski brings technical quality, agility, and intelligent movement.

He is strong in one-on-one situations, has great control in tight spaces, and can deliver accurate crosses — all critical traits for breaking down compact defenses in Serie A.

Moreover, at just 22 years old, he represents a long-term investment.

His recent performances, including the brilliant goal against Torino, have shown he's not only talented but also mentally resilient — capable of performing under pressure and stepping up when needed.

Finally, Inter Milan see Nicola Zalewski as a low-risk, high-upside signing: he already knows Italian football, has international experience with Poland, and is available at a reasonable cost.

It is a move that adds depth, quality, and potential to a squad aiming to compete both domestically and in Europe.
