Nico Paz, Como waits on Real Madrid as Inter Milan monitor situation

Fabrizio Romano reports no green light yet from Madrid; Como not negotiating with Inter Milan, but the player remains on the Nerazzurri’s radar

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the future of Nico Paz, the rising star at Como who is also highly appreciated by Inter Milan.

“Como is still waiting for a response from Real Madrid: it seemed imminent, but then they signed Mastantuono. 

That’s why things have slowed down with Nico Paz: Real has yet to communicate anything to Como.

In the coming weeks, a response is expected regarding the €8 million (£6.7 million) buy-back clause. 

What I can confirm is that Como is still waiting and is not negotiating with Inter Milan for the player, despite many inquiries. Real Madrid controls the situation.”

Nico Paz, born in 2004, is widely regarded as one of the most promising attacking midfielders in Europe. 

A product of Real Madrid’s youth system, he made his debut with the senior team during the 2023/24 season and impressed with his technical quality, vision, and goal-scoring instincts.

His loan to Como was part of a development plan to guarantee regular first-team football, and his performances in Serie B quickly caught the attention of bigger clubs. Inter Milan have been scouting him closely, attracted by his versatility—he can play as a classic No.10 or as an advanced winger.

However, the presence of an €8 million (£6.7 million) buy-back clause means Real Madrid has full control of his future. 

Sources close to the Spanish club indicate that they are still evaluating whether to bring him back or allow him another year of growth in Italy— in Serie A, because Como secures promotion.
