Inter Milan crushed Como at the Meazza, delivering a resounding 4–0 win that, at least for one night, sends Inter Milan back to the top of the Serie A standings. 

Chivu’s side handled the match with authority from start to finish, overwhelming Fabregas’ team with rhythm, courage, and tactical precision.

Speaking to InterTV via Fcinter1908 after the final whistle, Cristian Chivu praised both the performance and the mentality shown by his squad:

“The first 20 minutes were the best, in terms of courage and intensity. We were very smart in understanding the key moments of the game. 

You can allow your opponent some possession without losing defensive balance. Even in the second half, with a deeper defensive line, we managed to close things out.”

Chivu refused to hide behind excuses regarding fatigue:

“Energy management? That’s just an alibi. Many players didn’t feature on Wednesday, so they had plenty of energy today. 

I liked the entire team—how they interpreted the match, how they adapted. We changed from our usual 3-5-2 into a 4-4-2, and that’s not easy against a team like Como. We were focused and clinical.”

The coach also highlighted the quality and commitment of his players:

“It’s all down to the boys and their individual brilliance. On the first goal, the move starts with Lautaro, who then sprints 40 meters to finish the action. 

This shows the attitude we want.”
