The Inter Milan coach shares his thoughts after the 4-1 victory over Cremonese at San Siro
Four goals, four different scorers: Inter Milan cruised to a 4-1 win over Cremonese on Matchday 6 of Serie A.
Chivu’s side dominated the game, scoring twice in each half — Lautaro and Bonny in the first, Dimarco and Barella in the second — sealing a confident and convincing victory.
After the match, Cristian Chivu spoke about his team’s performance:
“I'm taking away the positives from today: we enjoyed ourselves, we were aggressive, well organised, and pressed well. We scored thanks to our effective pressing. It's a shame about the goal we conceded. I'm pleased with the team; they've been working hard to reach our goals. We still have room for improvement, but we have to be satisfied and aware of how we're playing. We're building consistency and having fun in how we play.”

The coach highlighted both team spirit and collective progress:
“It was great to see the team perform so well. Perfection doesn't exist, and we're not looking for it. Instead, we strive to do things well, enjoy ourselves, and put pressure on our opponents. Today, we did a bit of everything, but as a coach, I always need to give the team feedback.”
Chivu also praised his young forwards and addressed Dumfries’ reaction after being substituted:
“I am happy with Bonny: he put in a great performance. We have him and Pio, who are young, and together with two more experienced players, they're contributing well. The team is pleased with their performance. Dumfries is right to be upset: when a player comes off, it makes sense because it means he cares. Denzel is a great guy, and he didn't say anything to me. He's an incredibly important player for us, and I'm pleased with how he's doing.”
Balance, youth, and mentality: Chivu’s formula for Inter Milan
The win against Cremonese showcased the team’s depth and energy, with contributions from both established stars and emerging talents.
Chivu’s emphasis on pressing, organisation, and collective joy in playing continues to shape an Inter Milan side aiming for consistency and long-term growth.
