Ange-Yoan Bonny has suffered a minor sprain to his left knee and will be forced to the sidelines for several important fixtures with Inter Milan.
The injury occurred during a training session and immediately raised concern within the club’s medical staff.
According to the official statement released by Inter Milan, Bonny underwent instrumental tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. The examinations confirmed a light distortion of the left knee, with his condition set to be reassessed next week.
Medical update and recovery outlook

The club explained:
“Following a traumatic event sustained during yesterday’s training session, Ange-Yoan Bonny underwent diagnostic tests this morning. The results showed a minor sprain of the left knee. His condition will be evaluated again next week.”
Bonny will certainly miss the match against Atalanta, and his absence will extend beyond that fixture.
Sky Sport reports that the French forward is expected to be out for at least 15 days, ruling him out of multiple upcoming games for Inter Milan.
Matches Bonny is expected to miss
As things stand, Bonny will not be available to coach Cristian Chivu for Sunday’s clash against Atalanta. In addition, he is also set to miss matches against Bologna and very likely Parma.
There is cautious optimism that Bonny could make his return in time for the high-profile showdown against Napoli, though that decision will depend on next week’s medical evaluation.
