After a tense night in Florence, Fiorentina and Inter Milan shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw during Matchday 30 of Serie A.
The Nerazzurri took the lead through Francesco Pio Esposito, but a late equalizer from Cher Ndour denied them all three points.
With the international break now underway, Inter Milan will return on April 5 at San Siro against Roma.

Stepping in on the touchline for suspended head coach Cristian Chivu, assistant coach Aleksandar Kolarov offered a candid assessment after the match:
“We could read the flow of the game in the second half. We knew how crucial these three points were, but Fiorentina deserve credit.
It wasn’t our best performance, yet we are still six points clear at the top and everything remains in our hands.”
Aleksandar Kolarov pointed to a dip in intensity and clarity, suggesting the packed schedule may be catching up with the squad:
“We’re lacking a bit of sharpness and composure. Perhaps it is accumulated fatigue from so many matches.
This team is used to dominating games, but right now we’re not at our best. Still, being six points ahead means we’ve done a lot right, and now it’s up to us to close out the season.”
Aleksandar Kolarov: “Fatigue, finishing, and faith in the system”
Kolarov also emphasized the tactical importance of attackers within Inter Milan’s system:
“For our style of play, the forwards are essential. We draw opponents in and quickly look for them, but today we needed more quality in our passing to supply them better. They also contribute a lot in ball control and build-up play.”
Looking ahead, the international break arrives like a welcome exhale:
“The break always helps. We’ll try to recover players and energy. With Inter Milan, everything can seem expected and easy, but draws like this can happen, especially against a team like Fiorentina. The important thing is to remember the positives.”
Aleksandar Kolarov concluded with a nod to players heading off for national duty:
“The players are preparing for international matches. The key is that everyone stays healthy and available. I wish them all the best.”
