Newcastle push for Frattesi, Inter Milan set conditions

Sky Sport reveals Newcastle’s strong interest in Davide Frattesi, but Inter Milan will only consider a deal on their own terms

A transfer story shakes the final days of Inter Milan’s summer window. According to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908, Newcastle have expressed very strong interest in Davide Frattesi, a name already linked in recent weeks.

Inter Milan are open to talks, with negotiations expected to start from around €40 million (£34m).

The real issue now is the formula: the English club proposed a loan deal with an option to buy, which could turn into an obligation under certain conditions — but not straightforward ones.

And that is where the real negotiation lies. Inter Milan, while open to a conditional obligation, would only accept much easier triggers than those put forward by the Magpies. The club’s stance is clear: “It can be done, but quickly and only on our terms.”

As Sky adds, Inter Milan will not deprive themselves of such an important player on the last day of the market without a proper replacement already secured.
