Post-match reactions from Inter Milan stars after the resounding triumph at San Siro

A wide victory for the Nerazzurri at the Meazza as Inter Milan dismantled Torino with a five to zero scoreline. Here are the words of the protagonists in the post-match interviews collected by Inter Milan TV via Fcinter1908.

Alessandro Bastoni’s comments:
"It was a very tough match, we were hoping to feel this good, and we are satisfied with the approach because afterwards our quality emerged. A dedication to my daughter? It’s the first time I managed to dedicate a goal to her, we are happy to have sent out an important signal.

I try to put both my technical and human qualities on the pitch, and I’ve heard all sorts of things after the end of last season.

It’s true that we didn’t win anything, but we went on a great journey. We cared a lot about having balance, I also talked about it with the coach, and we hope to keep going this way."

Bastoni and Lautaro highlight team spirit and renewed energy

Lautaro Martínez’s comments:
"We had wonderful feelings right from the start after the Club World Cup, we spoke a lot among ourselves, and the coach is giving us a huge hand, pushing us to work hard.

We started this path with a new manager and we are happy with the result and the performance of the team. Surely, everyone was ready, including those who came in from the bench.

When you start a new season, energy is renewed—we are Inter Milan and we always want to stay on top.

I’ve scored prettier goals than this one, but the important thing is that the ball goes into the net. We are trying to enjoy these moments, and I am happy with the attitude and mindset shown on the pitch.

We need to improve, but I’m pleased because we saw many good things. Could there have been a better start? We tried to begin well, and the result shows the grit and determination we put into it."
