Indeed, the numbers speak for themselves: 2 goals and 3 assists in his first six Serie A appearances, plus two more assists with Italy during the international break. The 26-year-old has been decisive, dynamic, and increasingly central to Inter Milan’s attacking structure.

Manchester United return for their long-time target

Dimarco’s performances have not gone unnoticed abroad. Tuttosport reports that Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim — a long-time admirer of the Italian defender — remains keen to bring him to Old Trafford. Amorim reportedly pushed for the transfer last year and could make another attempt in upcoming windows.

However, Dimarco’s stance is clear: he wants to stay at Inter Milan. Born and raised in Milan, the defender dreams of spending his entire career with the Nerazzurri — and one day wearing the captain’s armband.

Inter Milan prepare a new long-term contract for Dimarco

Inter Milan’s leadership, aware of Dimarco’s importance both on and off the pitch, are working on a new deal to extend his stay until 2029, possibly even 2030. His current contract runs until 2027, but Marotta and Ausilio want to secure his future as soon as possible.

A dynamic, hard-working full-back like Dimarco is a rare commodity in Serie A. Chivu has made him a fundamental part of his tactical plans, and his strong start has only cemented his position as an untouchable member of the squad.
