Inzaghi’s Rotation Plans for Torino-Inter Milan after UCL heroics
Squad rotation and key rest periods ahead of PSG clash

After partially shaking off the fatigue and euphoria from qualifying for the Champions League final, Inter Milan returned to training yesterday at Pinetina.
With just over three weeks left until the clash with PSG, the main priority is ensuring that the potential starters arrive at the match in peak condition. All training and squad management will be planned accordingly.
However, that doesn’t mean the Serie A campaign will be abandoned. On the contrary—Inter Milan will try everything to keep the title race alive and capitalize on any potential slip-ups from Napoli.
But they'll do so using less fatigued players—those not dealing with knocks—meaning significant rotation and reliance on second-choice players.

Out: Pavard and Lautaro
This means Sunday’s lineup against Torino will likely resemble the one that narrowly defeated Verona last weekend.
Pavard and Lautaro will certainly be absent, as both followed an individual training plan yesterday.
The French defender is still nursing a left ankle sprain, and the focus will be on a full recovery, without risking another failed comeback attempt like before the Barcelona second leg.
As for Lautaro, after pushing himself to play midweek, he now needs to rest to avoid any complications with his left thigh muscles. It would not be surprising if he doesn’t even travel to Turin.
The Five Most Fatigued Players
Other players showing signs of fatigue include Dumfries, Thuram, Acerbi, Frattesi (who played despite mild abdominal strain), and Bastoni.
Bastoni, who expressed his post-match emotions on Instagram yesterday, wrote:
“Grateful to every single teammate—for the spirit, hunger, and heart. Fighting alongside you gives meaning to every sacrifice made since childhood.
Respect to our opponents as well: they showed incredible strength and heart. And a special shout-out to one incredibly talented kid: Lamine Yamal, you're a beast.”
