Simone Inzaghi set to extend Inter Milan contract until 2027

According to Il Giornale via Fcinter1908.it, there is no doubt: Simone Inzaghi will soon sign a new contract with Inter Milan.

The official signing is expected in the first week of June, with the agreement extending his tenure through June 2027.

His annual salary will be increased from €6.5 million (approx. £ 5 million) to €7.5 million (approx. £ 6.3 million) plus bonuses, reflecting the club’s confidence in his leadership and achievements.

Over the past two seasons, Inzaghi has solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s top managers, guiding Inter Milan to multiple domestic trophies and deep runs in the Champions League. His tactical discipline, man-management, and ability to maintain harmony in the squad have been widely praised.

But the decision to stay was not purely financial or sentimental — Inzaghi has rejected several high-profile offers to remain at Inter Milan.

Over the past two seasons, Inzaghi has solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s top managers, guiding Inter Milan to multiple domestic trophies and deep runs in the Champions League.

Last year, he reportedly turned down advances from Manchester United and a top La Liga club.

Now, he has also said no to Chelsea and Tottenham, both of which made contact in recent weeks.

Inzaghi turns down €60M (approx. £ 50.6 million) Saudi offer from Al-Hilal

One of the most eye-catching proposals came from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, which offered Inzaghi a three-year contract worth €20 million (approx. £ 16.8 million) per season. Despite the staggering total of €60 million (approx. £50.6 million), Inzaghi declined.

He is said to be fully focused on continuing his project in Milan, where he feels deeply appreciated and aligned with the club's vision.

With Inter Milan winning the Scudetto and heading to another Champions League final under his leadership, the club considers him untouchable.

Club president Beppe Marotta and vice-president Javier Zanetti have both been instrumental in pushing for the renewal, seeing Simone Inzaghi not only as a coach but as a pillar of Inter Milan's long-term sporting identity.

As the Nerazzurri prepare for a crucial summer — both in terms of transfers and continental ambitions — securing Simone Inzaghi’s future is seen as a foundational step. For Inter Milan fans, this is more than a contract extension: it’s a statement of intent.
